HOW DID IT ALL BEGIN?

Dollicious ragdolls is founded in 2001 when our first ragdoll queen FíFe EC FIN* Kattenbergs Apple Pie moved into our home. In 2001, within 2 months from that I got my prefix Dollicious.

Apple Pie aka Omppu, was a seal colorpoint who we waited for a long time from her breeder because in the beginning of this century there were only few ragdoll breeders in Finland. Our next female FíFe GIC S* Escarceo's Adrenaline, Lilli, a seal bicolor beauty, moved to Finland from Sweden in 2002. These ladies were our first ragdolls and with these ladies I started my active showing and later in 2003 breeding, when they both got their first litters. During the years I've imported ragdolls, both males and females, from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Russia, USA, Bulgaria, Romania, Holland, Belgium, Hungary and Malta. Some of Dollicious offsprings lives nowdays in Poland, Germany, France, Denmark, Sweden and Estonia.

I enjoy shows a lot and some of my cats are shown abroad too. I breed in TICA (The International Cat Association) and some of my kittens will be registered to CFA as well. All my kittens can be transfered to any association f.ex for shows or breeding. I breed ragdolls in every pattern in seal, blue, red, cream, torties and with or without lynx (tabby) pattern. Year 2024 will hopefully bring also some chocolates and lilacs to my breeding program. I've made intersting plans for the future too. 

I do co-work with many breeders in Finland and abroad to keep my genepool wide. I'm a mentor to many breeders and educate myself all the time. I use only healthy, friendly and laid back ragdolls in my breeding program. Our ragdolls live indoors, males in their own homes with my friend's families and females at home or at my friend's families. My kittens are raised underfoot with tender, love and care from their birth untill they are 15 week old. None of my cats are caged. My aim is to keep up the spririt and the look of the real ragdoll! No small ears, big rounded eyes or short cobby bodies or short muzzles.

Dollicious breeding cats comes from FelV, FIV and HCM DNA negative lines and are bloodgroup A. Few of them are b carriers and sold breeding cats can be tested before the final decision. Nearly all of my breeding cats are DNA-tested with NEOGEN MyCatScan dnatest or their parents has test results. All of my males are HCM, PKD and CIN clear checked with echocardiogram before their active breeding and the most from the females are scanned clear with flying colors by echocardiogram around 1 year, some a bit later, depending from their baby plans. All my tested cat's are scanned by cardiology specialist Andrea Gladuli, DVM, MS.
